About Teach Diligently

Teach Diligently is devoted to helping parents provide their children with a Christian education. Zachary Garris (J.D., M.Div.) writes articles on education from a biblical worldview that encourage parents to abandon the secular government schools and take back control of their children's education. Whether for homeschooling or a private Christian school, parents and teachers need resources for Christian education. Zachary therefore reviews and recommends book and video resources that teach our Western history and Christian values. These are Christian education resources that can be used in the home, school, and church.

The site's title comes from Deuteronomy 6:7, where in reference to His words, God commanded parents, "You shall teach them diligently to your children." The New Testament reaffirms this command, as the Apostle Paul tells fathers to train their children "in the discipline and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). God expects Christian parents to provide their children with a Christian education. May this site help parents in obedience to this task.
